Johanna Leintje Szobotka-Visser, 1900-1984 (English)

Johanna Leintje Szobotka-Visser was an important cultural mediator for Hungarian literature in the Netherlands. She first made her appearance as a translator in the interwar period, translating mainly novels from Hungarian into Dutch, but articles as well. Szobotka-Visser had close links with the ‘children’s train’ campaigns, which led to her moving to Hungary.
